Obtaining Re-Entry Decals for Orange Beach and Gulf Shores
One crucial step in hurricane preparedness is ensuring you have the necessary re-entry decals, which allow residents to return to their properties post-evacuation. Here’s how you can obtain them:
Orange Beach: Residents can obtain hurricane decals by visiting the City of Orange Beach website. The process involves filling out an application and providing proof of residency or property ownership.
Decals can be picked up at the Finance Department at 4151 Orange Beach Blvd. Office hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday. Proof of residency and up-to-date utility accounts are required to pick up decals. Two decals will be given for each property.
Please note: the rentry decals are not for beach parking anywhere in Orange Beach. Separate decals are needed to park at the Gulf State Park beach accesses, and a separate pass for the city beach parking at CoastAL will be issued for residents only at a later date.
Gulf Shores: Gulf Shores residents can get their re-entry decals through the City of Gulf Shores website. Each Gulf Shores resident/property owner living within the corporate limits of the City of Gulf Shores should receive two decals mailed to the billing address on record with Baldwin EMC during October every two years at no cost.
New Residents: Incoming new residents will not be charged for the initial first two decals. These will need to be picked up at City Hall or the Gulf Shores City Store. New residents are asked to please bring proof of residency or property ownership along with a Driver’s License for identification purposes in the form of a deed, lease, or utility bill that bears the street address of their property.
For both Orange Beach and Gulf Shores, once a tropical storm or hurricane warning has been issued, NO hurricane decals of any type will be available
